Probably the greatest bargain I’ve ever found.

This weekend Parisian auctioneers Artcurial sold an original ink page of strips from ‘The Shooting Star’ for 233,000 Euros—twice the estimate of 120,000 Euros. It’s an exciting result in the run up to next month’s auction (2 June), when the most expensive comic strip art ever—the Hergé painting for the front cover of ‘Tintin in America’ (sold in 2008 for 764,000 Euros)—will go under the hammer once again.
